Ing. Arturo Fernandez Gamez (Doctoral Researcher)

Arturo Fernandez holds a BSc and MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, Spain. During his master's, he completed an Erasmus exchange in Belgium, conducting research on indium phosphide amplifier integration on a silicon nitride commercial platform under the supervision of Professor Bart Kuyken and Pascual Munoz. His work culminated in the successful integration of tunable lasers, earning him honors upon graduation.
Currently, Arturo is pursuing a PhD as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Microcombsys Doctoral Training Network. He is developing high-power on-chip solid-state laser-driven combs, working under the supervision of Bart Kuyken and Kasper Van Gasse.Specific Research Topics
