At Ghent University, two types of Photonic educational programs are on offer:

Title Master of Science in Photonics Engineering Master of Science in Silicon Photonics
What Initial master program which offers a comprehensive training in photonics, covering all the basics and fundamentals and which allows students to take electives in the most important subfields in photonics (free-form optics, photonic integration, quantum optics, liquid crystals, displays, ...) and which allows students to take a secondary specialization in another engineering discipline.
Jointly organised by Ghent University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Advanced subsequent master program with a focus on Silicon Photonics, Photonic Integration and Photonic Integrated Circuits with attention to Professional Development (guest lectures by industry, company visits, ePIXfab training activities).

Offered in close collaboration with imec and industry.
